A New Main Entrance
will create a clear and controlled entry point that offers a warm welcome to visitors while enhancing School safety and wayfinding. From the lobby, a renovated east-west passageway, for the moment called “Main Street,” will connect to the Wallace Dining Commons and create a sight line all the way to the Discovery Barn and woods. Reception and administrative offices will be centralized and relocated to be in close proximity to the new entrance.
A Middle School Co-Lab
will enhance the transformative effect of our Middle School program. Our Middle School program must be adaptable to respond to current growth and prepare for future enrollment. We must also enhance the visibility of the School itself. While Nashoba Brooks is well-differentiated from a program perspective, the physical space of our Middle School does not stand out. Our strong, unmistakable sense of community, so important to girls and their families, can seem less apparent when compared to competitor schools.
Combined with the addition of the flex classrooms, the Co-Lab will ensure that the Middle School has enriched, flexible space for the foreseeable future. Strategically located at the entrance to the Middle School, the Middle School Co-Lab will include the office of the Assistant Head of Middle School. This hub for activity within our Grades 4-8 community will highlight a clearly defined identity for our Middle School.
